My New Maps{WIP}

Here is a preview of a map I started. I plan to create DM maps that will eventually be used in MH. Placing stargate portals in them for future use in MH but will be dormant in DM. These maps will come with addition height/bump mapping textures for use with DirectX11 renderer.

Looks promising.

Although, active Stargates on a DM map would be cool.

True stargates was a project I played around with quite a bit. By the way you have to configure the gates in a special way if you use them for MH *AND* you send any of the players away from the current map. If you don't it will crash the server. Configured properly you can move players from one server to another (and back) smoothly and without problems.

I always wanted to pursue this idea and create some sort of constellation of servers where you had to move back and forth within several maps to achieve a goal. There's a lot of possibilities there.

Just so you all know I'm making progress. Mapping for me is a time consuming deal. Hang in there.

This map, for example, has as Kelly put it "true stargates".

Including dial-up devices, though I think there was something in the readme about it not being intended for online play. It's 4 maps interconnected, with questionable pathing, each map connected to the others by stargates.

I won't ask if destination server is FULL what's going on with player sent and also if has other files/settings... :tease:
This is just blabbering, maps which I edited are always teleporting player in the same server in the same map, LOL... no issues encountered except maybe some collision crashes a la EPIC...

That sounds like a perfect plan! If it was possible to secretly place such stargates on other servers, they could then directly teleport the players from there to the HoF servers. :twisted:
